Ohio and Indiana requires 1500 hours of basic technical training.  If you complete your 1500 hours of training in Ohio or Indiana, and you want to work in Kentucky, you must work in Ohio or Indiana (the state governing your current license) for a miniumum amount of time, which is typically about 1.5 years, or you can transfer your 1500 hours to Kentucky and complete an additional 300 hours of training.  Upon completing the additional 300 hours, you will go to State Board for testing.

If you complete your education in Kentucky and want to work in Ohio, Indiana or many other states, it is a much easier process to become licensed in the other state.  Ohio, for instance, after you receive your Kentucky license you will only have to apply for your Ohio license...no testing!  You can visit the individual State Board websites for complete information about transfer of licenses.
