Brenda Arrowsmith, School Director
Upon graduation from Les Blondes Cosmetology School in 1966, Brenda continued her education at Ohio University. Brenda decided to postpone her cosmetology career and continued her professional development by managing a savings and loan office from 1969 – 1974 for Eagle Savings located in Cincinnati, OH. In 1975, to further her professional diversity, she decided to transition into a new industry and was became a certified fitness specialist for the YMCA in Greensburg, IN.
In 1979 Brenda began working again in the field of cosmetology as a stylist at JoAnn’s Beauty Salon in Greensburg, IN. In doing so, Brenda rediscovered her passion for the industry and set personal goals for advancement in the cosmetology industry. In addition to working at Joann’s Brenda began working for Tressa in 1983.
In 1984 one goal was realized when she pursued a joint venture in the co-ownership of two salons, named The Head Shop. She decided to sell her shares of the business in 1999 in order to help further the education of other stylists through the employment she maintained with Tressa over the years. She continued with Tressa as a Designer and Platform Artist in the United States and Canada. People from all over would come to learn from Brenda.
Deciding to no longer travel, Brenda transitioned to Michael’s College of Hair Design in 2002. Brenda holds the position of School Director and continues to improve the curriculum of the school and mentor the instructors and students as she has a vast amount of knowledge in the field.
